Happy Sunday! Anyone else so thankful that we have an extra day off work tomorrow with the bank holiday weekend? I sure am! I went to my Sunday morning yoga class this morning and I've spent most of the afternoon attempting to get wood chip wallpaper off the spare room wall... it's a slow process!
As you know I love my daily smoothies and juices. I have seen the benefits of adding powders such as maca and spirulina before so when I was asked to review the Geco Organic Wheatgrass Powder I was excited to give it a whirl.
Wheatgrass is an amazing little superfood. It contains 19 amino acids and 92 minerals which enables the body to function at it's highest levels. One of the primary reasons to add wheatgrass into your diet is because of the chlorophyll content. Chlorophyll amongst many other benefits can neutralise toxins within the body, help to purify the liver and improves blood sugar problems.
I simply add a heaped teaspoon of the powder to my morning smoothie. It blends well and I cannot taste it over my other ingredients. If you love your smoothies like I do and are looking to add a little more goodness into them adding a wheatgrass powder is very beneficial.
You can purchase Geco Organic Wheatgrass Powder for £6.49/ 100g.
What are you favourite supplements to add to your smoothies?
Didn't realise you had a blog Jayne! Glad I found it! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried powders as I'm a bit skeptic about how artificial they might be. I keep hearing about the Geco ones so I'm considering to give them a try ;)

Love me a bit of wheatgrass, I'm currently using Super greens from the protein works (this stuff ) and it's fab, saves having to have different potions and powders kicking around the house and it mixes in to smoothies perfectly. I feel so much more energised when I have super smoothies too ( I sound like I'm promoting their specific one now... other super green powders are avaliable ;) ) x
