Oooh I hate to be all British on you all but hasn't the weather been awful lately? I swear I thought I was going to fly away Mary Poppins style while I was up at the stables tonight. Bring on summer... I am so over winter!
I was recently sent a Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra to test, review and help me along with my half marathon training so after trying it out for a few weeks I thought I would share my thoughts with you all!
Firstly how cute are the colours? I love bright coloured workout gear and if you follow me on Instagram you will have seen this by my recent yoga leggings purchase! I think that bright colours are cheerful and are much more fun than bog standard black. Don't get me wrong black is functional and slimming but there is something about wearing bright colours which makes me smile. Also it's practical because there is no way cars can miss you if you are pounding the pavements dressed like a rainbow!
Having tried this bra out on both fast and long runs I can certainly feel a difference when running compared to my usual sports bras. The support is second to none, even for the modestly blessed like myself. If I can notice a difference I am sure those with something more ample would! The bra is constructed using their 'infinity-8 support system' which counteracts the breasts figure of eight movement running running. I am also noticed that everything is double stitched and well made so you have no fear of anything coming undone mid run.
Another aspect to point out which I didn't expect is that the sports bra comes sized in actual bra sizes rather than small, medium and large. This makes sure the fit is exact and amazingly comfortable. The sports bra also has adjustable straps on the back so you can tailor it exactly to your size.
Overall I really love the Ultimate Run Bra and it will be wearing it on race day! I think alongside a good pair of running trainers a decent, supportive sports bra is well worth investing in.
You can buy the Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Bra for £38.00.
I can tell my beloved Panache sports bra will be coming to it's end soon so I'm going to have to get a new one, this looks amazing! I'll definitely need to try one out. Having 40GG breesticles means I can't just wander into shops and pick one up :(

I was gonna try this but I picked up one of the VS ones instead :) Good to know that this is a good one for the future though!
ReplyDeleteAh this looks great, shame they don't do it in my size though. I struggle to find a good supporting sports bra but Shock Absorber is the only brand that ever comes close!

I'm really tempted to buy one of these. I do a lot of jump rope and could do with some better support. Love the colours!
