This week has just flown by! This time next week I will have completed Bath Half marathon which is exciting! In between training for my run I have of course been working on my yoga. This challenge has been really good for pushing myself out of my comfort zone. One thing I have learn is that if your breathing isn't right the pose won't happen! I have to remind myself to keep breathing slow and steady ujjayi breath.
I loved the headstand and handstand variations this week. It feels good to mix things up. I recognise I need to work on my backbends so I'm going to spend some time in my morning practice to work on going deeper. I have faith that my body can do it I just need to open up more. Headstands are getting stronger as well. I find the supported headstands easier then the tripod headstand as I can lift my shoulders up more easily and then have little weight on my head and neck.
It's funny but I find I am so much more at ease with inversions rather than arm balances. I find these so much more of a challenge! What are you working on this week?
If you missed it here is a link to week two (days 8-14) of the yoga challenge.
You look great love! I did a little bit of yoga today in my workout and forgot what a lack of balance that I have!
