Beauty // Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder

When it comes to bronzer it is top one of my 'must have' make up items along with mascara. Being a blonde I just love adding a bit of bronzer to my skin to give me a glow and stop me from looking washed out. I've also found it can give great dimension to your face! So when my beloved NARS Laguna gave up the ghost I decided to switch it up and try something different. Bronzer is one thing I am not afraid to splurge on as I use it every day so I knew I wanted to spend a few of my hard earned pennies on it.

While on the way home from Cumbria recently we stopped off on the Trafford Centre on the way down the motorway. Of course this meant wandering around the countless beauty counters gushing over the products and the pretty packaging! I found myself at the Benefit counter enjoying a bit of a make over. My friend Elaine had recently visited the Benefit counter at John Lewis in Cribbs Causeway and they did such a great job of her make up (she looked flawless!) that I wanted to try it out for myself.

I was a little wary that Hoola would be a little dark for my skin tone but I was proven wrong when the Benefit lady applied it to my skin. I looked sun-kissed and healthy which is perfect for me. Hoola is a completely matte bronzer which is a change from Laguna which has a slight shimmer to it, but I like it. The formula is highly pigmented so you will only need a dab on your brush is you are fair skinned like me.

The packaging is cute and it comes with a brush, although I'd rather use a blush or powder brush at home this brush is great for if you are travelling as it is soft and works well with the product. I know it sounds silly but I really like the blue wooden handle!

You can purchase Benefit Hoola for £23.50 from Look Fantastic or any Benefit counter.

What's your go to bronzing powder?

  2. I've always heard good things about Hoola. My bronzer has just smashed itself to smithereens inside my make up bag so I'll be looking to get a new one now, might give Hoola a go!!

  4. I love Hoola too for my fair skin! I was going to repurchase but noticed that one of the main ingredients is Talc which apparently isn't great for your skin so I'm thinking of getting a BareMinerals one to switch it up with too!!

    1. Yes! Totally. I only use the smallest amount of product and it is totally buildable.
