Nutrition | Extra Greens with a Green Smoothie

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may have noticed that I have a new blender! We have been looking for a blender for what seems like forever, I do like to make smoothies and juices and the little hand blender I was using is a little bit of a pain. So we found one with a nice big glass jug and at the very reasonable price of £30! Bargain :) If you are interested the blender we got is a Breville Blender, it does ice, has two speeds and a pulse button.

So as you can imagine I have been making lots of smoothies for breakfast and my morning snack and one thing I have had fun trying is green smoothies! Green smoothies are a great way to get extra greens into your diet and they are packed full of healthy nutrients. They are also great to make and take on the go if you are running late!

GREEN CACAO SMOOTHIE

  • 4 Ice Cubes
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
  • Handful of Spinach
  • 1 Tsp Chia Seeds
  • 2 Tsp Cacao Nibs
  • (Optional) 1 Scoop Protein Powder

This was a recipe which I found on Instagram :)

Let me know if you have any great green smoothie recipes I can try!

  1. I lurv my NutriBullet - I just stick in a bunch of veggies, some lemon juice, some tumeric, and blend away. It's a great way to get all my veggies for the day.
    Enjoy your new blender!
