Jayne Runs | Limited Edition Nike FlyKnit Lunar1+

Happy Sunday RUNday! Since it is Sunday which is 99% of the time a running day for me I thought that I would share my new trainers with you. As you all should realise by now I am really into my running, I love it because I think it is something everyone can do and it is free! The pavement doesn't cost anything. There is nothing better for me then going for a run with my music on, not only is it a bit of me time but I can really push myself to my limits.

So when I was recently browsing through my Instagram pictures I spotted that Ellie Goulding wanted people to tag their running pictures with the hashtag #letsturnitup. So I did! I was amazed when Ellie liked my photos and Nike Running contacted me asking for my shoe size. They didn't say what they were sending but I did have a suspicion that it might be these trainers! I got myself over excited and I still can't quite believe that these were sent to me! Super lucky and I am very grateful. I am running the Bristol 10k Race for Life raising money for Breast Cancer in July and I will be sharing my training schedule with you soon!

In the meantime I have been breaking in my new trainers with a spin class on Friday and a quick 3 mile run today! They are really lightweight and comfortable, perfect for some interval speed training.

You can purchase the Nike FlyKnit Lunar1+ for £140 online or in store. The Limited Edition Ellie Goulding version is not available to purchase as only a handful were made.

How have you spent your Sunday?

  1. I found your blog a couple of days ago through Shen (shen-moo.blogspot.com) and I've loved it ever since! I'm not really a runner as I have a lot of knee troubles lately but I love the gym and yoga to help. If you have any recommendations for training shoes then I'd love your advice!

    1. Aw thank you! With trainers it is totally personal, if you are new to running I would pop to a local running store and get them to measure your feet and how you run then they will recommend what is best for you. Personally I like lightweight runners as that's what works best for me but I have been road running since I was 15 so my joints & legs are used to it!

What works for me might not work for you but great brands are Nike & Asics. I also love my Skechers Go Runs as they are pretty much the same as Nike Free RUns but cheaper! I hope this helped & let me know how you get on! x

  2. Very Pretty! Totally agree with what you say about running. I even enjoy my nike fitness ap telling me every miles that I'm having a good day ;)

  4. That's amazing, well done on winning them!

I've been looking for proper running trainers for the gym, I'm reluctant to do anything but swim until I have some proper supportive footwear so that I don't hurt myself. I never gave it a seconds thought when I was younger but now I realise I need to really look after my knees and ankles!! x

    1. Asics are probably a good place to start if you are looking for a good pair of trainers for starting running x
