February Empties | Products I've Used Up

It's has been a little while since I have written an empties post so I thought I would show you a few of the products I have used up over the past couple of months. I have been making a real effort lately to use up things I already have rather than buying new ones just because I fancy a change. I also subscribed to Birchbox in the hope that by getting little samples of products I can try new things without the hefty price tag! Just on a side note in case you are interested I was very impressed with my first two subscription boxes from Birchbox ~ lets hope it they carry on in that fashion.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua | Every girl loves a bit of Chanel right? This foundation is one of my favourites and I was so sad when I had used it up. It is really light and makes my skin look bright and dewy, which I love. It is a water based foundation so you have to make sure to shake the tube before use, odd but I kinda like it! The smell is divine, I never usually notice the fragrance of foundations but this one is very floral which personally I like.

Would I repurchase? Yes without a doubt but at £32 a pop I'll have to wait until I use up my other foundations first.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum | This is similar to the Vitalumire Aqua in that it is a light to medium coverage foundation. Personally I find that these kind of foundations work best with my skin. I get the coverage but my skin is still able to breathe and it doesn't look 'cakey'. Which, unfortunately some fuller coverage foundations can do to my skin. I wrote a full review about the Healthy Mix Serum, I do like this and it a great budget alternative to the Chanel but not quite as good!

Would I repurchase? Yes.

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara | I recently gushed about how much I love this mascara in this post. I think it is such a great value mascara, especially if you buy it on offer (and when is there not some kind of offer going on in Boots?!).

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Korres Jasmine Showergel | Korres are quite possibly my favourite brand at the moment. I picked this up before Christmas in TKMaxx and fell in love with the Jasmine scent. The formula is lovely and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised. I get really dry skin on my legs and I noticed that I didn't have to use a body butter on them after a shower when using this showergel.

Would I repurchase? Yes. In fact, I received the Guava Showergel in my February Birchbox so I am looking forward to trying that out!

KMS California Add Volume Volumizing Spray | I recently wrote about this product in my New Hair Loves post and I have finished it up already! Well, it was only a sample size. I love volumising products as they give my hair an extra oomph which it does need.

Would I repurchase? I am quite fickle when it comes to hair products so I probably wouldn't purchase the full sized version of this product.

Yes To Carrots Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser | I love this cleanser. I love the concept of the brand, I love that the ingredients are organic. You really can't go wrong. I think that the quality of the product for the price is great. You get the picture ~ I love it! I am looking forward to trying out some more Yes To products once I have used up some  of the skincare I have lurking around my house. Which is a lot!

Would I repurchase? Yes!

So I hope you have enjoyed reading my empties post. Have you tried any of these products? I hope you all have a great week!

  1. Lovely post. Totally want to try the Chanel foundation but once you start you can't stop! I'm using NARS Sheer Glow at the moment (still quite pricey!) and I do love it! x
