OM Yoga // Less Stress, More Savasana
Savasana... the easiest pose to do, yet the hardest to master.
While reading through OM Yoga Magazine this month I came across an article written by Paula Hines, a stressed out yoga teacher. Yoga teachers can't get stressed out I hear you say, not so true, yoga teachers are human too and have to deal with everyday stresses. As teachers we give a lot of our energy to others whilst teaching and often don't take the time to replenish that energy. That's where stress and energy slumps can appear. I've been there, trying to balance my new found yoga teaching with my current office job, writing blog posts, running a house and spending time with those I love, it can be hard to balance it all.
So take a step back, spend some time on YOU. Read a book, have a bubble bath, practice yoga and spend some simple minutes in savasana. Your perspective will shift, you'll feel refreshed and renewed. Everybody needs more savasana in their lives.
