Fitness // Malta Bikini Bootcamp Week 3

This week I did something I have never ever done before... I forgot to set my alarm on Tuesday and missed my spin class! I woke up at 7.07am slightly confused and a bit annoyed at myself. However I got myself up right out of bed and did HIIT The Beach 2 from my Beach Babe DVD instead. Not quite the workout I was planning but a workout nonetheless!

I really feel that I have started to make some progress with yoga. I am currently working on dancers pose as you can see in the photo above and warrior 3 which I am working on holding for longer. With yoga it takes time and patience but I know I will get there. Four weeks ago I couldn't even get into dancer's pose!

Today I wanted to share with you one of my secret weapons ~ apple cider vinegar. It's cheap, easy to find and has a whole host of amazing health benefits. I drink it on a daily basis either with fruit juice or with my hot lemon water. You only need to use a small amount so a bottle will last for a while as well! Here are a few reasons why I love apple cider vinegar...

  • It boosts your metabolism ~ ACV is alkaline which means that it will balance out our bodies which generally become more acidic from consuming things such as coffee and alcohol. Essentially AVC will neutralise your body back to its healthy PH balance enabling it to function better, it helps aid digestion and levels our your blood sugar. A balanced more alkaline body means a better immune system and increased energy and who doesn't want that?! Especially at this time of the year when people tend to catch colds and the nights are drawing in.
  • It is detoxifying ~ ACV contains important enzymes which help your body to detox and helps to control your appetite.
  • It can help clear up skin conditions and blemishes. Beauty is from the inside out right?
  • AVC helps with weight loss by breaking down fats so that your body can use them rather than store them.
Do you drink apple cider vinegar? What’s your favorite way to work it into your daily diet?
