Fitness // Reaching Your Goals

This week marks one year since I first found Tone It Up so I thought that a few progress pictures and an update was in order! I can't believe just how far I have come in a year, not only in my fitness and physical changes but the changes in myself. I am no longer the insecure girl who hides under hoodies and dark clothes, I am the girl who rocks shorts and tank tops out running, who cannot wait to get into her bikini at the beach and who knows how to rock a gorgeous bright floral dress at a wedding. This confidence to me is priceless. I'm going to share a little bit of my Bikini Series entry essay which went along side my video, I really opened up in my entry so be warned!

Before I found Tone It Up I was not confident in my own skin or in myself. Although I wasn't overweight I was not happy with my figure, being 5'2" every ounce of fat shows and often this made me feel very low. I would hide behind dark clothes and baggy sweatshirts. I used to have a rocky relationship with food and go through a binge/ starve cycle throughout my teens and twenties but since following Tone It Up that is long gone! Tone it Up has taught me how to respect and nourish my body with wholesome food. Lean, clean and green ~ it is so simple and it really WORKS! This lifestyle is maintainable and I haven't looked back. Gone are those days. My boyfriend has always told me I was beautiful but I never used to believe him - Now I do! I have lost 10lbs and a whole dress size but most importantly for me I now feel healthy, happy and confident in my own skin.

Words cannot express how much the Tone It Up community has done for me - my waistline, confidence, friendships and my outlook on life. I am grateful now for what I have and I plan to live my life to the fullest! I want to be the best version of me! You are not competing with anyone but yourself in this life and Tone It Up has brought out the best in me. I feel fitter and more confident now at 31 than I ever did at 21 - I have become the person I always wanted to be, the girl I always imagined myself to be.

I am so thankful for the amazing friendships I have made through the Tone It Up community, these amazing TIU Girls inspire me on a daily basis! The whole team has shown me that hard work DOES pay off and the endless positivity I feel from the #TIUteam keeps me reaching for my dreams. I only have to check Instagram to be instantly motivated to workout, go for a run or cook a healthy meal. I LOVE my healthy, happy, energetic, Tone It Up life. The Bikini Series may be over but my Tone It Up girl lifestyle is forever. Thank YOU for making me feel beautiful.

I hope that by sharing this with you all I can inspire other girls who are like how I used to be, hiding in my own self, to take their health and happiness into their own hands and make the most of who you are and go to wherever you want to go. Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss you'll land among the stars.

  1. Well done you! I know how much happier and more confident I feel when I'm in a healthy routine - I'm literally a better person when I exercise regularly and eat well - but I struggle to maintain it. Now that September is about to start it feels like a good time to re-focus and get on with "making the most of who I am", as you so eloquently put it. Thanks for the motivation! :)

  2. This is such a fantastic post!! - I think everyone regardless of shape/sizes/personalites have insecurities. In my early teens I used to do modelling and used to be really sporty and fit ... However, since i left school i got really bad with eating and my excercise has slowly reduced to hardly nothing.

I'm just about to start persona training! - so I hope i can get back on track!

    Good luck :D
