Fitness | Tone It Up ~ Beach Babe DVD 2 Review

Hi girls! I hope you all had a great weekend. We were down in Devon for Matt's birthday and it was lovely and relaxing, I even managed to get in some yoga practice this morning! I dare say I will be back out pounding the pavement for a run early tomorrow. I am looking forward to this week as I am only in work for three days ~ always a good feeling! So today I thought I would share with you a review of the Tone It Up Beach Babe DVD 2 which I have been loving and using on a regular basis ever since it arrived in the post.

This workout DVD is the second one in the Beach Babe series from Tone It Up and it is in my opinion the best yet. Like the first Beach Babe DVD which I reviewed here the DVD consists of a great mix of workouts including full body toning, cardio and yoga. They are easy to tack onto the end of a long run or mix and match together with other workouts. The DVD contains 9 workout routines and really work every muscle using K&K's Fine Toning Method.

So what are the nine workouts?

Set The Bar ~ This is the first workout you should do on the DVD, it is a results driven program and a fun way to both track and see results. You will measure both you resting and recovery heart rate and follow the exercises to see improvement.

Beach Barre ~ A barre inspired routine with helps to elongate and tone your muscles. I love this one because you are guaranteed to feel it the next day! Barre is always a class that I would love to take but they don't really do any near me so this is perfect as I can follow along at home.

HIIT The Beach 2 ~ The most effective way to burn fat and tone up fast is through HIIT workouts. HIIT The Beach 2 is a 40 minute routine which really blasts calories and revs up your metabolism so you will be burning calories all day long. I love to do this one at least once a week to mix up my cardio.

Fine Toning ~ A full body workout which uses K&K's fine toning method, you are guaranteed to feel the burn with this workout. It is a full body toning routine and it great to pair with one of the other routines on the DVD such as Sunkissed Abs.

Hula Booty, Bikini Arms & Sunkissed Abs ~ These are focused toning routines to help you target specific areas. I love all of these routines and I like to tack them onto either one of the longer workouts, a run or string them all together for a great workout! I find Bikini Arms a real challenge, especially as I am now using 5lb weights for all the routines ~ it burns!

Sunrise Routine ~ This is my favourite workout on the DVD, it is perfect to do first thing in the morning to stretch and gently wake up your body. This is a calming routine which strengthens your body and prepares your mind for the day ahead through setting intentions and positive thought.

Sunset Stretch ~ This is a yoga inspired stretching routine and is a lot more challenging than Long & Lean on the first DVD. I love it! I find it helps stretch out and lengthen tired and sore muscles. Helping to revive both your energy and spirit.

I love both the Beach Babe DVDs and I highly recommend them. They are great to work into your workout routine and as always Karena and Katrina keep you going with their enthusiasm and positive energy. Like anything if you work hard you will see results with this DVD. You can check it out here :)

  3. Hi Jayne, looking back now, do you have a preference? I know you said it was the best, but often new stuff is the best at first :D Do you find yourself gong back to these workouts more still?

    1. Yes I still love these workouts! Focusing a lot of half marathon training at the moment but I'm planning on putting the beach babe workouts back in the mix once it's over & I don't have to run so much!

Nothing gets me sweating like HIIT the beach!

  4. Hi Jayne! Would you say the workouts in the DVD are drastically different from the free ones they upload onto their Youtube channel? :)

    1. They are similar of course, but longer and better workouts (in my opinion) :)
