Happy Sunday! Are you enjoying the long weekend? I am. Today is super sunny so I donned the Hollister shorts ~ got to be done! I finally got around to photographing some beauty products today and I didn't realise quite how many empty products I had until I gathered them all together to take pictures. My shopping ban has paid off as I have found myself using up a lot of products which were half used or forgotten about. I also tried to use up a lot of travel or sample sized products.
Clarins Smoothing Body Scrub ~ This is one of those products which I seem to have had forever. So much so that they have changed the packaging now. Like all Clarins skincare it's a lovely product which leaves your skin silky smooth!
FCUK Polished Whipped Body Cream ~ Love this body cream, again it's a product which I had for ages. This is a mini travel size but I also have a big 300ml tub. It smells amazing, it is a lovely light fragrance which is perfect for summer. While looking for a link I have found out that they have discontinued it!
Clarins Water Purify One Step Cleanser ~ I love this product! It leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh. I use it after cleansing my skin in the evening or in the morning to help wake my skin up.
Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Plump N Thick Leave In Thickening Mist ~ That's a bit of a long name! I received this product in one of my Birchbox's which is great because hair styling products aren't something I really think about purchasing myself. I really liked using this for adding some volume to my roots but I found that if I put a bit too much in it goes 'crispy' ~ not a good look!
Korres Guava Showergel ~ As you will know Korres in one of my favourite brands so this showergel was a big hit for me. Love the fragrance and I am sure I will be buying some more of these in the future.
RMK Cleansing Balm ~ Another Birchbox sample product. I did like this cleanser, it certainly removed every scrap of make up but it left my skin feeling a bit greasy and I think it contributed to a few break outs. I liked the rose scent but I would think it would be a bit overpowering for some.
Sukin Cream Cleanser ~ Sukin is a brand I discovered through my Australian Beauty Box and I am so glad I have tried them. Every product I have tried smells divine and works well. Sukin are organic and natural which I love. I have recently spotted them in Holland and Barrett so if you are looking at trying some new skincare I highly recommend this brand.
Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Show Off Mascara ~ I never seem to stick to one brand of mascara, I'm always picking up what ever is on offer! This one worked well and didn't smudge. Good mascara but didn't blow me away.
Clinique Youth Surge Day SPF15 ~ I've had this product sat around for a long while now so I was determined to use it up during my shopping ban. It didn't work well for me, I found it too heavy for my combination skin as a day cream so I took to using it at night. I much prefer the Clinique Moisture Surge for my skin.
Alberto Balsam Shampoo Tea Tree Tingle ~ You can't really go wrong with the Alberto Balsam range, priced at only £1 a bottle they are great if you are on a budget. I really like the tea tree as it feels quite clarifying to use on my hair.
Soap Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash ~ This 500ml bottle lasted me just over two months. I love it, I am addicted to the scent. So much so that when I popped into Boots yesterday I purchase two more bottles of this along with the Sugar Crush Body Scrub (Boots 3 for 2!) so I will be stocked up for a while!
Evo Bride of Gluttony Shampoo & Conditioner ~ Another winner from my Australian Beauty Box. These little travel sized bottles were just too small! I absolutely adored the products and was sad when they were empty. They work together to 'fatten' your hair to give it volume and shine which is perfect for my hair which can look a bit flat at times.
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation ~ I had a bit of a love and hate relationship with this foundation. Some days it would sit perfectly on my skin, leaving it looking fresh and glowing and other days it would just cling to any dry patches. It is a light foundation but personally for me it was a bit hit and miss to repurchase.
So there are a whole lot of empties there! I am really pleased with myself that I managed to use up so many products. I have learnt that I really need to check what I have before making a purchase and this is something which I will strive to do going forward :)
I really want to get my hands on the Sugar Crush body wash, I can't find it anywhere though! :( XX
