Happy Sunday! It's bitterly cold today. I went out for a quick run this morning and I was glad that my running top covered my hands ~ Brr! At least we don't have snow here at the moment, that I am grateful for. I have spent the past couple of days dealing with a very painful and nasty blocked ear. A word of warning ~ never put your head under the water in the bath, you really don't want to suffer what I have the past few days! The good news is it seems to be clearing now and after a trip to see the nurse on Thursday I am hoping to feel like myself again!
So as I am on my Shopping Ban I have been trying to use up products and this is what I have used up so far this month.
John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo | This has been lurking around half used for a while. I bought it along with the conditioner for our trip to Crete way back last May! I had used up all the conditioner but there was maybe two washes left in the shampoo bottle so I thought I ought to use it up! I like this shampoo, nothing amazing for me but it is good and leaves your hair clean and soft.
Repurchase? Maybe, if it was on offer.
REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask | This was a little sample which I got from What's In My Handbag months ago. Again this is something I tried then forgot about. I know a lot of people rave about how great this face mask is but it didn't work for me. It didn't do anything bad to my skin but personally for my skin there are better products out there.
Repurchase? No and certainly not worth the price tag in my opinion.
Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner | You will have seen me rave about this product in my February Favourites post ~ love this product! I am so sad that it is finished as my skin loved it. I can see that it would be perfect for spritzing on your skin during the warmer weather (if we ever get any) as well.
Repurchase? Yes!
Alberto Balsam Shampoo Tea Tree Tingle | You can't go wrong with a huge bottle of shampoo for only £1. I love the Alberto Balsam shampoos and conditioners, I think that for the price they are great value for money. I am never particularly loyal to hair care brands so I usually pick up whatever is on offer, if there is nothing on offer this is my go to brand.
Repurchase? Yes.
Pai Camellia & Rose Cleanser | I really wanted to love this cleanser but there is something about it that just doesn't make the cut for me. It smells lovely, it is gentle, it feels luxurious on your skin, it is gentle enough to use on the eye area. Yet it just doesn't whip off all my make up in one swoop like the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish does. I really enjoyed using it but I think that next time I'd purchase the Cleanse & Polish over this.
Repurchase? No.
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm | An old favourite which I have used for years and one which I keep going back to. My Grandma is excellent at swiping me samples of this so I have only actually bought it for myself once. Love her!
Repurchase? Yes.
If you recall my Shopping Ban post I mentioned an 'Incentive Jar' so empties money in the Incentive Jar so far ~ £4.50 :) Not bad, but could be better!
I love the Alberto Balsam shampoos and conditioners! I think they smell phenomenal! The apple one is amazing:D xxx
ReplyDeleteYes they do! And they have so many different ones that you never get bored! x
DeleteI ordered a selective of Pai skincare samples, I wonder what I'll think of the cleanser x
ReplyDeleteOooh let me know what you think! Their samples are great, more companies should do this x
DeleteI've seen a lot of reviews of that Pai cleanser recently and most have been fairly mixed. Not sure if I should splash out and get it yet! x
ReplyDeleteEvelyn @ We Were Raised By Wolves
It is lovely & I am a huge fan of their products but it just didn't blow me away! x
DeleteI've not seen anyone write about the Sukin toner but I've been wanting to try it for awhile now. Glad to hear you like it a lot! Have you tried any of their other products? :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I have their moisturiser and cleanser ~ both are lovely. Worth picking up! x
