First Aid Kit | The Lion's Roar

On Tuesday Matt and I took ourselves out to see First Aid Kit at the Bristol Academy. Now I will be honest here when Matt booked the tickets I was pleased to be going but I didn't know what to expect. He had bought The Lion's Roar a couple of months earlier and I loved the album. What I didn't expect was the outstanding show that First Aid Kit treated us to.

First Aid Kit are a Swedish Folk duo composed of sisters Johanna and Klara. Their harmonies are second to none, they have amazing energy on-stage and play off one another in both humour and music. You can see that they truly love performing. Their voices are outstanding to the point where they can get rid of the 'modern technology' of microphones and amps and are brave enough to still sing to a sell out crowd of sixteen hundred people - simply amazing. Spine tingling stuff.

If you see that they are playing near you I suggest you grab yourself a ticket and be prepared to see a show like nothing you have ever seen before. These girls are going to go far. The Lion's Roar is their second album, my personal favourite songs from the album are Emmylou, King of the World and the title track The Lion's Roar.
