NARS Kalahari Eye Shadow Duo

On Halloween I received an email from HQ Hair which had a 20% discount code. Now HQ Hair discount codes usually exclude NARS products so when I noticed that this one didn't I took full advantage and treated myself to something which has been on my NARS Wishlist for a while - the NARS Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo. NARS eyeshadow duos usually retail for £23.50 but with my discount I paid only £18.80, I can't resist a good deal! Just in case you didn't know gram for gram NARS eyeshadows are cheaper than other high end eyeshadows such as MAC, so you are getting more for your money. NARS are cruelty free as well so another reason I like to invest in NARS products! 

Now you should know by now that I very much stick to the same natural 'signature' look. Crazy colours just aren't me! So this is why I chose the NARS Kalahari Eyeshadow Duo. The lighter colour is a taupe with a golden shimmer undertone, the darker colour is more of a cocoa brown. I find that these compliment my blue eyes perfectly making them stand out. The colours apply effortlessly and feel almost buttery. I applied the lighter colour all over the lid and used the darker colour in the crease and brought it under the lower lash line. These colours are highly pigmented and the colour payoff is amazing. You can use a subtle amount for a daytime look or amp it up for a night time eye. I found that I didn't need to use a primer and there was no fall out. I love this duo and I am so glad that I finally bought it! If you are looking at investing in a good eyeshadow duo I think this one is a perfect place to start as they are colours you can wear everyday. Next on my list is the NARS Isolde Eyeshadow Duo - maybe for Christmas?!
