Skincare | Budget Beauty Buys

Photobucket Photobucket

These two wonderful skincare products are ones which I love, use on a daily basis and best of all they will not break the bank! I only ever talk about products which I actually use myself and I wouldn't include a product in a post such as this just because it is cheap! I have thoroughly tested both of these products and I would highly recommend them.

First up is the Superdrug Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum (£3.99). I honestly cannot get enough of this serum. The oil balancing range is aimed at combination skin which I very much have! This serum is oil free, fragrance free, paraben free and BUVA approved -- for me this is a godsend. It hydrates my skin leaving it looking plump and refreshed. I use it morning and evening -- it works well alone under make-up (just make sure that your foundation has an SPF in it). In the evenings I use it all over my face and neck I then add moisturiser and a drop of Rosehip Oil where ever I feel it is needed. I am already on to my second bottle after using this serum for just under two months. I also recommend checking out the whole of the Simply Pure range next time you are in Superdrug!

Next is my current eye cream the Boots Botanics Radiant Youth Hydrating Eye Cream (£8.99 but currently on offer for £5.99). A good eye cream is an important part of a good skincare routine. As you probably know Boots repackaged their Botanics range recently and as such they have had 1/3 off everything in the range for ages. So as I am not one to shy away from a good deal I picked up this eye cream. Since I have been using this eye cream on a regular basis I have noticed that my dark circles have reduced (not gone completely mind!) so much so that I feel confident enough to forgo concealer under the eyes on 'light make-up' days. I certainly look more awake since I have been using this on a daily basis! The cream is formulated with anti-oxidant vitamins A & C and Ginkgo -- these help to work to protect the skin from free radical damage and help the skin look younger. Another great point to mention -- no parabens!

  6. There's a Garnier moisturiser in a pink tub that I really like, it's only about a fiver and is often even cheaper in Superdrug!
