Happy Saturday! Did you get some sunshine where you are? We did! It's turned out to be such a lovely day, chilly but some sunshine at last. We took at trip down into town as Matt had a Superdry jacket to return. I even took a walk round the shops and didn't buy anything ~ success! Today I thought I would share with you my current go-to palette for an everyday neutral eye ~ the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette.
I finally decided to spend some hard earned Debenhams Beauty Club points on this little palette a week ago (before my 58 Day Shopping Ban commenced). It is the perfect size for travelling and I have had my eye on it since it was been released. I love my Naked palette so I knew that the Naked Basics palette would be money well spent!
The colours are perfect neutrals and although it is the perfect travel size you get six full sized Urban Decay eye shadows. Five of the shades are matte with Venus as a lovely subtle shimmer shade, perfect for highlighting the inner corners of the eye and brow bone. All the shades are easy to work with, buttery to apply and highly pigmented. I got a bit of a shock at just how black Crave is ~ a little really does go a long way!
Personally I have been using a mixture of Walk of Shame and Naked 2 to cover my lid, followed by Foxy to add a bit of depth. I then use Faint to line my eyes and Venus as a highlighter. If I am going for an evening look or just want to amp up the eyes Crave is perfect to line them. I think that this is the perfect palette to take away with you on holiday as it is compact, cute and has six versatile shades. You could even use these to fill in your eyebrows and Venus can be used as a to highlight your cheek bones. At £20 I think it is reasonably priced for six gorgeous eye shadows. It will be a must take for my travels this year!
Have you tried the Naked Basics palette? What is your go to palette for travelling?
I love this palette! It will be great for travelling :)

ReplyDeleteSuper handy & I love the matte shades, they are very 'me' x
DeleteI'm really enjoying wearing matte brown shades, and although I love the look of this palette I'm just not sure if the colours will be dark enough for me and whether I'd get enough wear out of it.
