Make Up | Smashbox Soft Lights in Prism

Brrr, it's cold here in England! I am sat here in a hoodie with my Lily-Flame Snow Fall candle burning and a mug of mint green tea trying to warm up. I do like the frosty mornings, there was an amazing sunrise today, but I dislike the cold air. It's Wednesday which means it is halfway through the working week ~ Yay! Okay enough about me. Today I thought I would show you a highlight/ blush which I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

During my bargain hunting escapade up at Swindon I came across this gorgeous soft pink highlight from Smashbox. It looked to me like the perfect colour for my pale winter skin and as I didn't have anything like it in my collection I decided to make a purchase. I paid £16.00 for this from the Cosmetics Company in Swindon but it retails for £23.00 online, so not a bad discount!

Although the Smashbox Soft Lights is marketed as a highlighter I have found that this works perfectly for me as a subtle blush. It is the perfect rose shade and adds just the right amount of natural flush. It is hard to pick up on camera but it looks beautiful in natural light. I apply it like a blusher but you can use it to add subtle shimmer to your cheek bones, temples or anywhere you wish to highlight. I had never tried a Smashbox product before but I am impressed with my first experience! I also love the fact that this is paraben free.

You can find Smashbox in larger Boots stores and online. You can purchase Smashbox Soft Lights for £23.00 (or less if you are a bargain hunter like me!). Have you tried any Smashbox products?

  6. I've never actually tried anything from smashbox. I really do want to, because it's meant to be Mac's rival in the States. This colour looks really nice on you, and I think it looks more like a blush too xx
