Hello 2013 | Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! 2012 was such a good year for me and I hope that 2013 is even better. This past year has absolutely flown by and I have also grown in myself. I have found a confidence I never thought I had. A few of my 2012 highlights have been:

  • Holiday to Crete with Matt, our first proper holiday since we went travelling in the USA in 2006.
  • Swedish House Mafia at the Milton Keynes Bowl, despite the mud and the rain we had an amazing time.
  • Successfully running and completing Bath Half Marathon in March and raising almost £400 for the World Wildlife Fund.
  • We celebrated Matt's 30th birthday.
  • Finding Tone It Up ~ taking my fitness to the next level and finding my self confidence.
  • Successfully kicked my Diet Coke habit! You can read more about this in this post
  • I also started this little blog! I am so glad that I took the plunge because I really don't know where I would be without it.

I hope that 2013 will create just as many good memories. I haven't made any new year 'resolutions' as such but I thought that I would share with you a few goals which I hope to achieve in 2013. I always find that it is motivational to write them down.

  • Continue working out ~ In the latter half of 2012 I really upped my game fitness wise. Although I've always been into fitness I needed a boost and a change, this is where Tone It Up came in! My goal is to be in the best shape of my life and continue to love what I do to keep fit. I hope to inspire others along the way so if you are in need of motivation feel free to contact me on here or twitter!
  • Read More ~ I love to read but I never seem to have the time. So I pledge to myself that I will put down my phone/ laptop and switch off the TV more often and simply read a book.
  • Blogging ~ I love blogging. I have 'met' some amazing women through blogging and I love being a part of this community. I want to make my blog better and write content that people enjoy reading. I value each and every person who reads my blog and I love your sweet comments, emails and overall support. If I don't say it enough - THANK YOU!
  • Be grateful ~ Instead of asking for what I want and hope for, I have started to be grateful for the things I have and the people in my life. I think that often in life we are so overwhelmed with what we have going on that we sometimes forget to be thankful. I think it is important to acknowledge our blessings.

Speaking of fitness Tone It Up are kicking off the new year with the L♡VE Your Body series so if you are in need of a bit of a fitness kick check it out! I can't wait for this and of course will be joining in. This morning I went for a longer run to start the year off right!
I hope that you all had an amazing New Years Eve last night. We stayed in, watched a film, drank some bubbly and watched the fireworks on telly. Cosy and perfect :) Today is Matt and I's seven year anniversary, I can't believe it has been seven years already!  He spoilt me with presents and we had a lovely afternoon out in Clevedon. I am a lucky girl!

What are your new year goals or resolutions  If you have written a post leave me the link below as I would love to read them!
