If you have seen my instagram pictures recently you may have noticed that I have been rocking this cute vanilla coloured headband lately. I love wearing headbands, not only can I pretend to be an extra in Gossip Girl I also really love the way they can tidy up your hair. It is also a super easy way of making your hairstyle look more polished. However I did find that quite often the sides of my head started to hurt after wearing them for a while, so when I was contacted by Aiste from Stone Bridge Hair Accessories asking me if I would like to review one of their headbands I was intrigued and wondered if their Super Comfy Classic Headband could really live up to it's name!
Stone Bridge Hair Accessories is a small company based in Kent who specialise in handmade luxurious hair accessories. Their products are of the highest quality and are handmade in France and Italy, they offer an extensive range of hair accessories, headbands and hair clips. Stone Bridge can offer you a personalised recommendation of clips and accessories which are suitable for you by assessing your hair type through a quick online questionnaire. You will receive an email from a hair consultant who will suggest which hair clips will work best for your hair. I found this a very personal concept and really felt like I was receiving excellent customer service - even over the internet!
Super Comfy Half Inch Classic Headband £25* | The colour I chose was French Vanilla as I thought this colour would work well with my blonde hair (please ignore my roots, I have a date with the hairdresser on Saturday!). As soon as I received this headband I popped it on my hair and didn't take it off until all day. I was very impressed that my head did not begin to hurt after a couple of hours of wear. I can happily wear this headband all day without those dreaded headband headaches kicking in! The headband itself is beautifully crafted, strong but lightweight. This headband comes in six different colours so you can find one to match your hair colour and style easily.
Cadre Rectangle Claw £33* | The second hair accessory which was recommended for my hair was this claw clip. I love wearing claw clips, they are so useful for getting your hair out of your face! Quite often I wear my hair half up (as seen in the pictures) to work as I think this style looks more professional than just loose hair and I also like to keep my hair off my face. I have also used this when I want to pile all my hair on the top of my head, perfect for when cleansing my face at the end of the day! Like the headband this claw clip is super comfy, it doesn't snag or pull my hair and it stays firmly in place.
Although these hair accessories cost more than I would personally spend on a headband or claw clip I can understand that the prices reflect the level of hand crafting, the bespoke service and high quality materials which go into each piece. If you are looking to invest in a new hair accessory or treat yourself to something special then I highly recommend checking out their website - they have recently added pieces for the upcoming festive season! I love the look of the Crushed Velvet Headband - perfect for Christmas day!
