This is such a rare occurrence, I was on the hunt for a new lipstick recently. This is a shock I know but I don't have a huge collection, I have maybe three and that's it. There is nothing I like better than a perfect nude lipstick. I love my MAC Hue lipstick which is a perfect nude pink but I was looking for a true nude lipstick. I ummed and ahhed about which Topshop shade to go for, with about five separate trips to the Topshop make up stand to have a look at the colours. I was torn between Innocent which is a pinky nude and Nevada. I finally opted for Nevada as it is different to anything else I've owned.
Topshop Nevada is a pale nude lipstick with a very slight pink undertone. This lipstick really makes my blue eyes stand out - have a look at my Saturday's Face of the Day post. The formulation is very creamy and it has good staying power. A lot of people compare these to MAC lipsticks and I can see why. They are very similar but a whole £6 cheaper! The only negative thing about this lipstick is that it can be a little bit drying on the lips but this is easy to solve by using a lip balm beforehand. If you are anything like me you will be slathering your lips in lip balm during the cold winter months anyway!
I know this isn't the cheapest of 'high-street' lipsticks but for £8.00 you get a lipstick which is very comparable to MAC, which I think is a good deal.
You can purchase Nevada for £8.00 online or in store.
What's your favourite Topshop lipstick shade?
This is a lovely nude colour! I need to go into Topshop soon as I want one of their highlighters :-)
ReplyDeleteIf I invest in my first MAC lipstick I think I'd go for Hue too - bright and bold lippies scare me!xx
Same! I love bright colours on other people but I can't pull them off, I feel too self concious. I want to try one of the Topshop highlighters too x
DeleteI know it's off-topic but I have to say it: Lovely hair! :D
