L-R: Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free BB Cream | Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation | Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation
I haven't written a Budget Beauty Buys post for a while so today I thought I would share with you my three favourite budget foundations. Having a high end foundation to use is nice but lets face it, we can't all afford to use a high end base on a daily basis. These are three foundations that work for me and my skin type (oily/ combination) so hopefully this post will help you to find something that will work for you too!
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free BB Cream £8.49 (Shade Light) | Although this is not technically a foundation it is a great light base to use for those days when you don't want to wear a full foundation. The consistency of this BB cream is a little too runny for my liking so you do need to slap it on your face pretty quick. However it is easy to apply with your fingers and then buff it into your skin with a foundation brush. This product also has the advantage of a SPF 20 so that makes it a great base to use underneath foundations without an SPF already in them. As I have oily skin sometimes I do find that products 'slip' on my skin but this BB cream matifies and stays in place throughout the day.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation £10.99 (Shade 51) | This is my favourite high street foundation and I have previously written a full review about it here. I actually picked up slightly the wrong shade with hindsight and when I come to repurchase it I will buy Shade 52. This foundation gives light to medium coverage and leaves a lovely dewy finish. It reminds me a little bit of the YSL Le Teint Touché Éclat Foundation which I also love.
Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation £10.99 (Shade 52) | Again another Bourjois foundation, I honestly think that they make the best high street foundations. They are always the ones which work best for me at least. This one has slightly more coverage than the Healthy Mix foundation as it is more medium to full. This one also has an SPF 10 in it which is better than nothing! 123 Perfect claims to perfect your skin with three different pigments; yellow for dark circles, mauve for dull complexions and green for redness. I do have a lot of redness in my skin, especially during the colder months so this is why I picked this up. It does leave a semi matte finish which is better for my oily skin, it evens out skintone and the staying power is pretty good - although I don't think it lasts 16 hours as it claims! Overall I do think this a good high street foundation. I often use this foundation just to gives myself extra coverage in the places where I need it while using another lighter coverage foundation as a base.
What are your favourite budget foundations?

I got the doctor jart BB cream in my glossybox last month and am in love with it.
ReplyDeleteI also use the chanel vitalumiere aqua but that is in no way a budget moisturizer!!

I just finished up my bottle of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua -- I liked it but I don't think I will repurchase! I'd like to try the Dr Jart but the price puts me off! x
DeleteI need to try out the 123 Foundation, sounds really good. Sadly didn't get on Healthy Mix as it was too heavy for my oily/combo skin, so the 123 sounds like a better option for me :) x
