Liz Earle Signature Foundation

Is it just me or are us girls always on the quest for the one? That one 'Holy Grail' foundation that will make us look effortlessly flawless? I know I am. Personally I love the simple understated make up look, so a fresh, radiant complexion is certainly high on my list.

The Liz Earle Signature Foundation is luxuriously packaged in a frosted glass bottle with a white pump dispenser. I really like that this foundation has a pump as I have come across other high end brands which don't (hello Chanel!); I find it much easier to use and get just the right amount of product.

The shade which I used is 03 Nude, at first I thought would be too dark for me but the foundation blends beautifully into the skin leaving a lovely matte finish. The coverage is light to medium and is very buildable which is perfect if you want a more flawless finish for a night out. The foundation wears well throughout the day and personally as I have oily skin (although this colder weather is playing havoc with it at the moment!) I really like the way it works with my skins natural oils. I thought that I would show a 'no make up' and a 'make up' photo so that you can see the difference the Liz Earle Signature Foundation makes to my skin. So beware 'no make up' photo coming right up!
As you can see on this particular day I have a lot of redness on my skin yet the foundation covers it perfectly. Also for reference I am not wearing any additional concealer in the second photo just the foundation and eye make up. I have tried applying the Signature Foundation with both my Real Techniques buffing brush and a traditional foundation brush, both work well but I prefer the finish with the foundation brush.

Liz Earle have recently launched their Liz Earle Colour 'Complexion Perfection' campaign. It is also a promise to Liz Earle customers, if you don't love their Signature Foundation you can return it to them for free by post or in store - no questions asked. We all know what a peril shopping online can be so this is perfect for people who would love to try the Liz Earle Signature Foundation but don't have a counter near them. The Signature Foundation comes in nine shades and Liz Earle have created a web page where you can have a look at nine model images in order to select your perfect shade - visit it here.

As an avid fan of Liz Earle skincare I am very impressed with my first experience of their colour range. I think that the Signature Foundation is perfect for everyday, easily blendable, with a fabulous finish which stays put all day.

You can purchase the Liz Earle Signature Foundation for £21.00.

Have you found your 'holy grail' foundation?

  2. This sounds great and looks excellent on you! I wish it didn't have a matte finish like you describe, it's something I'm trying to avoid at the moment!

  5. My Holy Grail foundation is Bare Minerals. I suffer from blotchy sensitive red skin sometimes so I was a bit dubious about putting a powder on my face but I would NEVER revert back to a liquid foundation again. The stuff is amazing!! xx
