I have gathered together another bunch of empties this month so I thought that I would share my thoughts on them for you all! I am honestly proud of myself for using up so many products this month, I didn't think I had used that many until I gathered them all together. A few are favourites which you will have seen me mention before and as I have been making an effort to try and use up some sample sized products there is one of those in there too! So lets get started...
Lush Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser (£6.25 for 100g) | Even though Lush have sneaked their prices up recently I still think that this cleanser is great value for money. This is my second tub of Angels On Bare Skin and it still remains a firm favourite of mine. I have written a full review of this lovely cleanser -- it brightens your skin by buffing away dead skin cells, removes make up and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft. It has no preservatives which means it is great for sensitive skin too!
Repurchase? Yes.
Superdrug Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum (£3.99 for 50ml) | I cannot say enough good things about this serum, my skin just drinks it up! It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated -- love it! You can read more about my thoughts on this serum here.
Repurchase? Yes.
Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara (£16.50 for 8.5g) | This was a sample which I picked up with Glamour magazine a couple of months ago. I love it when magazines give away good quality make up as a freebie! I really like this mascara, I used to use it a couple of years ago constantly and I would always repurchase. Unfortunately now I am always put off by the price. I think that Bourjois do great quality mascaras for a lot less money!
Repurchase? No. Simply because of the price.
Clarins Gentle Eye Make Up Remover (£13.25 for 125ml) | This is a product which I got as part of a gift with purchase. Or should I say -- my Grandma got as part of a gift with purchase and then gave to me! It removes eye make up well and does not irritate my sensitive eyes. Although I did have a bit of difficulty taking off my waterproof mascara at times, especially if I had on several coats. I think it is a decent eye make up remover but I was simply using it up as it was in my 'samples box'.
Repurchase? No.
Lush Marilyn Hair Moisturiser (£8.95 for 225g) | I was quite impressed at just how long this hair treatment lasted me. I use it about once a week to give my blonde hair some TLC! I really like this product, it smells lovely and leaves my hair in great condition. You can read my full review of Marilyn here. I think it is a must have for blonde, colour treated hair.
Repurchase? Yes.
Boots Botanics Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm (£5.99 for 70ml) | This was my first experience of a hot cloth cleanser and I must say, I am now totally converted to them for evening cleansing. This removes even my waterproof mascara and Urban Decay 24/7 eye liner -- if you have ever used the Urban Decay eye liner you will know what a pain it is to get it to budge! Great value for money, natural ingredients and leaves your skin super soft! If you want to read more I have written a full review.
Repurchase? Yes.
Original Source Pure Lime Shower Gel (£2.30 for 250ml) | I have loved the Original Source shower gels for a long time. I think this was on offer in Morrisons when I picked it up -- so keep an eye out at the supermarket for offers! It is a lovely zingy scent which wakes you up in the morning and leaves you feeling clean and fresh.
Repurchase? Yes.
Have you tried any of these products? Leave me a link if you have written an empties post this month!
I love the bad gal lash too. But yeah, definitely pricey. Original source have a scent out at the moment of chocolate and lime, it smells sooooo good! :) xx
ReplyDeleteOoh chocolate & lime? I shall have to pick that up! x
DeleteThat Superdrug serum sounds great, definitely want to pick it up next time I go shopping! I did an empties post here if you're interested http://helenrambleson.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/august-empties.html

It is worth trying & so cheap! Thank you :) x
DeleteLove the Lime Original Source, reminds me of Starburst :D I agree that Lush are increasing their prices too-I'm sure things are getting smaller too especially the bath bombs and bubble bars!
ReplyDeleteYou are right it is a bit like Starburst! Yes, it is a shame, I love Lush but I don't like that the prices have sneaked up :(
DeleteReally want to try Angels On Bare Skin now :) x
ReplyDeleteIf you do let me know how you get on with it!
DeleteCan't believe September is almost over! >.<
ReplyDeleteVery thorough post, really want to try Angels on Bare Skin!

It is worth a try! I know it doesn't seem that long ago that it was my birthday! And the weather has got a lot cooler here!
DeleteI love BAD GAL and also Clarins! If you're ever looking for a good eyemake up remover No7 has a very good little pump one. it is for sensitive eyes and it just seems to work for me. Also I have never tried that Lush cleanser I think it is looking amazing!

Ooh I shall have a look thank you! At the moment I am relying on my Cleanse & Polish to remove my eye make up x
DeleteI'm looking for a really good makeup remover, and when i saw that Clarins one i thought it would be the one, haha.
ReplyDeleteAny recommendations love? :) x
Unfortunatly not! I'm not on the hunt for a good one. So far I find that Liz Earle C&P works best for a cleanser for eye make up removing & micellar waters such as the Caudalie one! x
DeleteAfter reading this, I'd like to try the Superdrug serum. I love original source shower gels. :) xo
ReplyDeleteLots of love for the Original Source! the Superdrug serum is well worth trying BUAV approved too!
DeleteLovely empties! I really like the same Original Source Shower Gel, smells so fresh! I feel the same about Badgal - I like it a lot, but would never pay that much for it, I just pick up the samples when they're around instead x

Thank you! Yes I am much the same now, I love the mascara but I cannot justify the price! x
DeleteI had the same issue with the Clarins eye make-up remover, it took a few goes to try and remove my waterproof mascara but even then it didn't really get all of it off - I find my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is best for that and then I just go over my eyes with a gentle eye make-up remover just to be sure :)
ReplyDeleteI have used up quite a lot this month myself, need to get round to putting my post up! xx
