Haul | August Bank Holiday Treats

I decided that as it was payday this weekend and my birthday is coming up I would treat myself to a few bits and pieces! So here are a few things I purchased over the weekend. Of course I am now on a strict (ish) spending ban. I did a little bit of shopping in Bristol city centre on Saturday and on Monday we went over to Cardiff. As I hadn't been shopping in Cardiff before I was a bit excited!

I popped into Lush to pick up a face mask and decided to try the Catastrophe Cosmetic as my skin seems to be breaking out a bit at the moment. Hopefully this will sort it out! I also wanted to try the Eau Roma Toner Water after testing it out in the store last time I was there.

Superdrug have an amazing skincare line called 'Simply Pure' the range is fragrance free, paraben free, hypo-allergenic, BUAV approved and affordable - perfect! I am totally in love with the Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum (I cannot find a link online so check in store) and purchased another bottle of it as I have almost used up my first bottle!

As I have a nail polish problem I couldn't resist popping into Topshop and picking up a bottle of nail polish in Eclipse. It is a pretty blue/ green metallic colour and I cannot wait to try it out!

I was in dire need of a new powder brush so I decided to pick up the Real Techniques Powder Brush and as Boots are currently doing a 'buy one get one half price' on Real Techniques brushes I decided that I better take advantage of the offer and bought the Stippling Brush at the same time. I can't resist a good deal!

The whole idea of going to Cardiff shopping was so I could go wild in Gilly Hicks. I have been wanting to visit the store for ages so we finally went. I got some good bargains and I would certainly recommend going in there if you like the Abercrombie/ Hollister style -- like I do. They had a few good deals on some items so I took full advantage dragging my poor boyfriend around the store! (He doesn't mind really.) I got the Classic Yoga Pants which were on sale for £16.90 (full price £34) -- they are so comfortable. I love them because they are fitted and show off your figure rather than hiding it like a lot of sweat style pants. I live in these when I am lounging around the house! I also decided to be proactive and get a bikini to put away until my holiday next year. The top was reduced from £26 to £9.90 and the bottoms were reduced from £20 to £9.90 -- so more than half price! While I was there I also picked up some underwear -- which I am not going to show you -- but if you are in need of some cute underwear I would recommend a trip there! They do 3 for £15 for their knickers and I picked up a really cute bra for £12 -- very reasonable in my opinion. My lovely boyfriend also got me a couple of things for my birthday but I'm supposed to forget about them for the moment!!

All in all I had a lovely bank holiday weekend. We made the most of the weather and went to Weston Super Mare on Sunday -- got some lunch and had a walk by the sea. I hope you all had a great weekend as well and let me know if you bought any treats this month!
