Skincare | Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm

Yes I am hopping on the hot cloth cleanser bandwagon with the Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm. Boots have recently repackaged their Botanics range and are currently running a 1/3 off promotion. So if you love the Botanics range it is worth popping down to Boots!

This is the first hot cloth cleanser I have tried (nope I haven't tried the hallowed Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - yet!) so I cannot compare it to others but for me this cleanser works wonders for my skin. As this is a balm product it is quite oily which isn't surprising considering it is full of different oils, the main ones being Rosehip and Jojoba. Simply massage the balm over your face and neck, soak your cloth in warm water (which is included with the product) and use as a compress to draw out impurities. Once you have removed the balm, soak your cloth in cold water and press gently over your face to close pores.

I tend to use this product on the evenings where I feel that my skin needs a little extra care. I love anything with Rosehip in so this was a big selling point for me. I find that it leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and clean.

I seem to be addicted to cleansers and I am currently using three cleansers in my skincare routine. I use my La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel in the mornings as I find the packaging easier to handle while in the shower! I use my Lush Angels on Bare Skin in the evenings and the Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm in place of Angels on Bare skin whenever I feel my skin needs a little bit of extra nourishment.

You can purchase Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm from Boots for £5.99 (on offer).

What's your favourite hot cloth cleanser?

  12. It sounds great, I love the Liz Earle one, but on the sad note it breaks me out, so I only use it to remove my eye make-up. x
