I actually have managed to post my August Favourites before the end of the month! September has sneaked up on me and I cannot believe that it is my birthday tomorrow! I have lots of cards waiting to be opened and a parcel to pick up at the post office. I'm getting excited!
So here's what I have been loving this month...
Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm: I have loved using this as my evening cleanser this month. In fact so much so that I have hit the bottom of the pot! The rosehip oil really nourishes my skin and is very relaxing just before bedtime. I have written a full review on this lovely, affordable product.
Marc Jacobs Daisy: This is still my go to perfume, I just can't get enough of it. Perfect for the summer months as it is floral but light enough not to be overpowering.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation: I have found myself drawn to this foundation this month. It is very lightweight on the skin and gives just the right amount of coverage. It is a light, glowy foundation and reminds me a little bit of the YSL Le Teint Touché Éclat Foundation but of course being a high street foundation it isn't quite as nice. It's a brilliant budget alternative though.
Superdrug Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum: I mentioned this serum in my August Bank Holiday Treats haul post -- I am now onto my second bottle of this serum. It's very lightweight and sinks straight into my skin. Which has been a godsend in the sticky heat we have had through August. My skin just drinks it up!
Burt's Bees Replenishing Pomegranate Lip Balm: This has been my go to lip balm this month. I love that it is in a tube rather than a pot, so no sticky fingers! It is very nourishing on the lips and smells gorgeous too.
Boots Botanics Radiant Youth Hydrating Eye Cream: I believe that it is important to use an eye cream and this is the one I am currently using. The thing about eye creams is they tend to be expensive so when I saw this one was only £5.99 (on offer) I snapped it up. The 'protective ginkgo' helps to hydrate and smooth the appearance of fine lines - love this!
Chanel's Illusion d’Ombre in Émerveillé (#82): If you have read my Everyday Eye Makeup post you will have seen that I use this eyeshadow a lot. I bought it in the Autumn/ Winter last year and the pot is still going strong! It is a beautiful peach with a subtle golden sparkle.
Lush Eau Roma Water: I know I only just bought this but I have been loving it this week. It soothes and refreshes. As you should know by now I love anything with rose in! The only negative thing -- which I didn't notice until after I bought it -- is that it has methylparaben as a preservative. I do try to avoid parabens so if you know of a paraben free alternative let me know!
What products have you been loving this month?
Good group of favourites! :) Kind of cool that you have two Boots Botanics products featured...really says something about the range!

I know it's super crazy how fast this year is going! Thank you :) x
DeleteI really meant to get Daisy for the summer but didn't get round to it, it's such a lovely scent. Do you find that the Botanics eye cream helps with dark circles at all? I am on an urgent quest for something that does and have so far had no luck whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely birthday!
